Our Story

Matthew 25 Thrift Shop opened in February of 2013 by John and Mandy Hutton. They saw a need to provide goods at reasonable prices, create opportunities for employment, and to give to local charities. From the very start, the Hutton’s agreed to give 100% of all proceeds back into the community.

In Matthew 25:35 Jesus says, “I was naked and you clothed me. I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me. Assuredly I say to you, in as much as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to Me.” Jesus taught in Matthew 25 that if you feed the hungry, give a drink to those who are thirsty, take in a stranger, clothe the naked, take care of the sick, visit those in prison, it’s the same as doing those things directly for Him.

Unlike many thrift shops, 100% of our proceeds benefit local charities. Each dollar that you spend or donation you give benefits the lives of others. Whether you choose to donate, shop, or volunteer at Matthew 25 Thrift Shop you are making a great choice to impact our community in a positive way.
